BigWheel and Clients Give Back

The holidays are supposed to be filled with excitement, love, and joy. It’s the season to be with family and friends. But as joyful as this time of year is supposed to be, for some, it can be stressful or even heartbreaking. Imagine a child waking up on Christmas morning to find that Santa didn’t leave any presents. Imagine the homeless freezing because they don’t have warm clothes. Imagine parents struggling to feed their family or provide warm coats for their children and themselves. As heartbreaking as it is, this is reality for so many of our neighbors.

Now imagine those same children waking up to presents. Imagine children and families warm this winter and able to eat a nice meal. All of this can happen through the gift of giving this holiday season. BigWheel and our clients are doing whatever we can to make the holiday season better for those who need a little help. Want to get involved? We’ve also included the contact information for some local organizations making a big impact.

We do something special every year to bring a little joy to children in need. One of the ways we give back is by supporting our local Angel Tree. With so many kids that will go without gifts and warm clothes this holiday season, we want to do what we can to help.

If you’d like to participate in your local Angel Tree, please visit their website for more information.

Sevier County Bank supports multiple charities during the holiday season. Like BigWheel and others, SCB supports their local Angel Tree. On top of that, the team supports The Forgotten Child, which provides Christmas to underprivileged children.

If you would like to donate to the Forgotten Child or attend one of the events, visit their website for more info.

Tennessee Sports Medicine Group donates to quite a few charities during the holidays. Their newly opened sister company, SquareOne, will also join in this year. TSMG donates to KARM, Homes of Love, and Emerald Youth Foundation not just during the holiday season, but throughout the year.

Check out KARM’s website for more ways to contribute. Both the Emerald Youth Foundation and Homes of Love also have plenty of opportunities for you to help out.

Throughout the year, KARM raises funds to support the homeless and families in need. One of their well known events during the holiday season is Coats for the Cold. This event truly has an impact on the homeless and families in need. With the help of KARM, a large number of people will be warm this winter.

The Helen Ross McNabb Center is a non-profit organization that provides behavioral health services to adults and children in East Tennessee. The Center benefits from a number of events year-round, but one during the holiday season is the Beth Haynes 12 Days of Christmas Online Auction. The auction of around 300 items lasts for the first 12 days of December. The funds raised goes to local children and families in need during the holiday season.
